The applicator is available in TPE or PETG, but the two materials should not be selected on appearance alone.
TPE offers a flexible, soft-touch surface. However, compatibility with the actual cosmetic formula must be tested before mass production. Certain ingredients may affect the material over time. JIIHO recommends filling samples with the intended formula and evaluating them before approving the material. Skipping this step can lead to problems after production.
PETG is a more rigid plastic option with a smooth finish. It may suit brands that prefer a firmer applicator or want to match the cap and applicator in the same material.
| Feature | TPE | PETG |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Flexible elastomer | Rigid thermoplastic |
| Contact feel | Softer | Firmer |
| Key consideration | Formula compatibility testing | Shape and application performance |
| Before production | Test with the actual formula | Evaluate finished samples |
The tube is available in four kit configurations. Each option should be checked against the actual component set to confirm the applicator, cap and connection structure.
The design also supports removable components for front filling, depending on the selected configuration. Before production, confirm which parts need to be removed, how the formula is filled and how the package is reassembled.
Do not assume all four kits use the same filling method. Check the selected kit with your filling partner during sampling.
Both the tube body and cap can be customized with PCR material. JIIHO recommends considering 40% PCR content as a starting point, subject to material availability and testing.
PCR may affect color consistency, surface appearance and processing. Confirm the target color, component specifications and achievable PCR percentage before approving production samples.
Yes. For example, the cap and applicator can both be made from PETG. This creates a same-material combination for those two components.
However, matching the cap and applicator does not make the entire package mono-material. The tube body and other components must also be assessed before making that claim.
Applicator material: Choose TPE or PETG based on the intended feel and formula compatibility.
Kit configuration: Confirm the exact component combination.
Filling method: Verify removable parts and front-filling requirements.
PCR content: Confirm the target percentage for the tube body and cap.
Sample testing: Check formula compatibility, dispensing, assembly and appearance before mass production.
